NFL Survivor Picks Week 9 2026: Chiefs Lead, Save the Bills for Week 10

The Kansas City Chiefs are the safest NFL survivor pick of Week 9 by the betting market, -560 at FanDuel against the 2-6 New York Jets at Arrowhead, an 81.5% win chance once the margin is removed, as of Friday, November 6, 2026, 11:00 AM ET. The San Francisco 49ers (-500 over the Raiders, 80.2%) and Seattle Seahawks (-450 over the Cardinals, 78.7%) are next, and the Detroit Lions are 75.0% in Miami. One favorite carries a quarterback flag this week, the Giants, because the Eagles have not settled on a starter, and the Jaguars are already off the board after winning Thursday night. Here is every Week 9 favorite ranked by win probability, with next week's spot for each.

Win probability is the FanDuel moneyline on SportsbookReview's board with the margin removed, as of Friday, November 6, 2026, 11:00 AM ET, cross-checked against VegasInsider's Week 9 page (updated Thursday night) and Action Network. The DraftKings column on the SBR board has been stale this season and is left out. Jacksonville beat Baltimore 33-10 on Thursday and is no longer available. Why the Chiefs are the Week 9 survivor pick
Kansas City is 5-2 and at home against a 2-6 Jets team. The Chiefs are -560 at FanDuel and -9.5 to -10.5 on the spread, the second-biggest favorite of the weekend by win probability and the one with the weakest opponent by record. Massey Ratings projects Chiefs 27, Jets 20 (79% Kansas City), and the Prediction Tracker median is Chiefs by 9.4. Next week's spot, at the 3-5 Falcons, is fine but not a reason to hold them: there is no week later in the season where Kansas City will be a bigger favorite than this.
The 49ers: the backup at 80.2%
San Francisco is 6-1 and comes off its bye to host the 4-4 Raiders as a 9.5-point favorite, -500 at FanDuel. Reports have Mike Evans (Achilles) and Deebo Samuel (hamstring) expected back this week, which is why the line went from 8.5 to 9.5 since the open. The reason the 49ers are the backup rather than the pick is the Raiders' record: 4-4 is a different opponent from 2-6. Next week the 49ers are at Dallas, so there is no future value in saving them.
Save them for Week 10: the Bills
Buffalo is 6-1 and a 3.5-point favorite in Minnesota on Monday night, but at -174 that is only a 61.0% win chance, ninth on this list, against a 6-1 Vikings team with the best scoring defense in the league. Carson Wentz starts for Minnesota with Kyler Murray out, which helps, but the Bills also have both starting tackles and their left guard on the injury report. Next week Buffalo is at the 2-6 Jets, where it should be a double-digit favorite. That is the save.
Other Week 9 survivor options and their risks
The Seahawks (78.7%, home against 3-5 Arizona) and Lions (75.0%, at 1-6 Miami) are both sound picks for anyone who has used the Chiefs and 49ers. Seattle opened -11 and is -8.5 now, which is the biggest move against a favorite on the board, and Detroit is on the road against the one-win Dolphins. The Bears (70.0%) are worth using this week if you have them, because they are on a bye in Week 10. The Giants are off our list: they are 60.3% in Philadelphia, and the Eagles' quarterback is unsettled, with Tanner McKee listed questionable with a chest injury and Joe Milton the backup; our rule is no survivor pick on a game with a questionable quarterback on either side, in either direction, because the number can move five points on Saturday. The Bengals (59.9%) play in Madrid at 9:30 AM ET and the Saints (59.3%) host a 5-3 Browns team; neither is a survivor spot when four teams are above 75%.
