NFL Week 5 Predictions 2026: Odds, Line Moves and Key Injuries

NFL Week 5 opens Thursday night with the 0-4 Tampa Bay Buccaneers as 10 to 10.5-point underdogs in Dallas, and it closes with the two Super Bowl favorites on Monday night: the Buffalo Bills at the Los Angeles Rams, with the Rams favored by 2.5. These NFL Week 5 predictions come from the market, as of Monday morning, October 5, 2026: odds for all 15 games, the biggest line moves since open, the scores the lines imply and the injuries that could still move them.
NFL Week 5 odds for every game
Spreads and totals are the range across BetMGM, bet365, DraftKings, FanDuel, Fanatics, BetRivers and Caesars on SportsbookReview's board, cross-checked against bet365's lines as reported by FOX Sports. Moneylines are DraftKings. The implied score splits the total by the spread, so it is the market's prediction, not ours. Times are Eastern.

Biggest NFL Week 5 line moves
Openers are from SportsbookReview's opener column unless noted. Lookahead lines posted before Week 4 can be far from where books reopened on Sunday night, so we flag that where it matters.

Four NFL Week 5 games worth a closer look
Bills at Rams prediction: the two Super Bowl favorites
The Los Angeles Rams (+600 to +650) and Buffalo Bills (+680 to +750) are the top two teams on the Super Bowl board, and this is the highest-priced matchup of the week. The Rams are 2-2 but just won 24-20 at Philadelphia; the Bills are 3-1 after losing 29-26 at home to New England. Buffalo wide receiver DJ Moore aggravated his left shoulder injury on Sunday, per Yahoo Sports and the National Football Post, and his status for Monday night is not known yet. At a 53.5 total, this ties Lions at Cardinals among the highest totals of the week.
Ravens at Falcons prediction: waiting on Lamar Jackson
Lamar Jackson hurt his left ankle on the last snap of the first half against Tennessee and did not return; Baltimore still won 24-18. He left the stadium in a walking boot, and an MRI was scheduled for Monday. Reports conflict on the severity: NFL Network's Ian Rapoport called him day-to-day, while Pro Football Talk reported he was believed to be week-to-week pending the MRI. Tyler Huntley is the backup. Books have the Ravens at -3.5 to -4 with a wide spread of totals (45 to 47.5), which tells you they are pricing some chance Jackson sits. If he is ruled out, expect this line to move well toward Atlanta.
Eagles at Jaguars prediction: the biggest move of the week
No game moved more. The lookahead line on SportsbookReview's board had the Philadelphia Eagles favored by 1.5; after Week 4, CBS Sports reported a Jaguars -3 reopen, and every major book now has Jacksonville -4.5. Saquon Barkley left Sunday's 24-20 loss to the Rams in the first quarter with a right hamstring injury, and there was no update from the Eagles on Monday morning. The Jacksonville Jaguars won 22-17 at Cincinnati and lead the AFC South at 3-1.
49ers at Seahawks prediction: NFC West, unbeaten vs 3-1
The San Francisco 49ers are 4-0 after a 24-14 win over Denver, and they are still road underdogs. The Seattle Seahawks (3-1) beat the Chargers 30-23. The spread has drifted from 3 to 2.5 at some books, the only movement toward San Francisco. The NFC West winner market has the 49ers at 43%, the Seahawks at 30%.
Key NFL Week 5 injuries
These are the injuries most likely to move Week 5 lines. Each status is the latest reported as of Monday morning, October 5, confirmed by at least two outlets (team sites, NFL Network, ESPN, CBS Sports, Yahoo Sports or Pro Football Talk). None of these is final.
| Player | Team | Injury | Latest status |
|---|---|---|---|
| Lamar Jackson | BAL QB | Left ankle | MRI scheduled Monday; reports split between day-to-day and week-to-week. Unresolved. |
| Saquon Barkley | PHI RB | Right hamstring | Left in the first quarter Sunday; no team update yet. Unresolved. |
| Ja'Marr Chase | CIN WR | Concussion | In the concussion protocol; no timeline. Unresolved. |
| Tee Higgins | CIN WR | Adductor | Left late Sunday; no team timeline. Unresolved. |
| Jayden Daniels | WAS QB | Left elbow (Week 2) | Missed Weeks 3 and 4; reported to be aiming to return in Week 5. Unresolved. |
| Marcus Mariota | WAS QB | Knee (MCL, per coach Dan Quinn) | Scan Monday; reported likely to miss time. Unresolved. |
| Patrick Surtain II | DEN CB | Right ankle | Further tests Monday; Broncos reportedly believe he avoided a long-term injury. Unresolved. |
| DJ Moore | BUF WR | Left shoulder | Aggravated an earlier shoulder injury Sunday. Unresolved. |
Statuses can change before kickoff. Official NFL practice reports start this week (Monday for the Thursday game, Wednesday for most teams), and game designations come two days before kickoff for most games. We will not treat any of these as final until the team or the league says so.
The rest of the NFL Week 5 board
Buccaneers at Cowboys (Thursday): Dallas is 10 to 10.5 points better than an 0-4 Tampa Bay team, the biggest spread of the week. Texans at Titans: both teams are 0-4, and Houston is a 6.5-point road favorite with the lowest total on the board (39 to 39.5). Giants at Commanders: Washington is favored by 3 to 3.5 even with both of its top quarterbacks hurt, so the line could move once Jayden Daniels' and Marcus Mariota's status is known.
Bengals at Dolphins: Cincinnati is a 7 to 7.5-point road favorite against 0-4 Miami, and the total dropped two points with Chase and Higgins hurt. Broncos at Chargers: Denver -3.5 against an 0-4 Chargers team that lost several offensive linemen during Sunday's game. Lions at Cardinals: Detroit -4.5 with the week's highest total. Vikings at Saints: the 4-0 Vikings are only 1.5-point favorites. Colts at Steelers (PIT -1.5 to -2.5), Raiders at Patriots (NE -3.5) and Browns at Jets (NYJ -1.5 to -2.5) round out the 1 PM window.
