Prices come from VegasInsider's live Stanley Cup board, read book by book, and were checked against The Odds API's FanDuel, BetMGM and BetRivers feed, which had Carolina at +650 to +750, Colorado at +700 to +750 and the same top eight. Records and points are through Tuesday night, November 3, from the CBS Sports standings. Our free plays, including the NHL sides we post, are on the free picks page.
Tier 1: Carolina, Colorado and Edmonton (1 to 3)
1. Carolina Hurricanes (12-3-2, +650). The defending champions have the most points in the league at 26 and the shortest price at every one of the four books, with DraftKings the lowest at +600. The price has not moved in a week; the record added a win. 2. Colorado Avalanche (9-6-1, +750). Colorado drifted 50 cents to +750 but held second with 19 points, tied for third in the Central. The gap between the odds and the standings is still the widest at the top of the board. 3. Edmonton Oilers (11-2-3, +800). Edmonton shortened from +825 to +800 and is tied with Minnesota for the most points in the West at 25, one point behind Carolina, with two regulation losses in 16 games.
Tier 2: contenders (4 to 8)
4. Vegas Golden Knights (10-5-2, +900) and 5. Florida Panthers (8-5-2, +900) share a consensus price for a second week and are split by the best number, +1,000 at FanDuel for Vegas against +900 everywhere for Florida, and then by points, 22 to 18. 6. Tampa Bay Lightning (9-3-2, +1,050) hold at the same price with the books now within 100 cents of each other, from +1,000 to +1,100. 7. Minnesota Wild (11-3-3, +1,200) lead the Central with 25 points and are the best record below the top three on the board. 8. New Jersey Devils (10-5-0, +1,200) shortened another 50 cents, from +1,250, and are now tied with Minnesota at the median; the Wild stay ahead on points.
Tier 3: playoff hopefuls (9 to 16)
9. Dallas Stars (9-5-1, +1,600) and 10. Utah Mammoth (10-6-0, +1,700) each move up one spot as 11. Washington Capitals (8-6-0, +1,700) drift from +1,600 and fall two. 12. Montreal Canadiens (9-3-3, +2,500) are second in the Atlantic with 21 points at a price that has not moved. 13. Ottawa Senators (9-6-1, +2,650) and 14. Buffalo Sabres (7-4-3, +3,150) each shortened 100 to 150 cents and held their spots.
15. Boston Bruins (11-4-1, +3,750). Boston leads the Atlantic with 23 points, second in the East behind Carolina, and the books moved the other way, from +3,500 to +3,750. That is the biggest gap between standings and price in the top half of the board: a division leader with the 15th-shortest title odds. 16. Toronto Maple Leafs (8-7-2, +4,000) hold at +4,000 at all four books.
Tier 4: long shots (17 to 32)
17. Los Angeles Kings (4-7-2, +5,000) shortened from +7,000 to +5,000 with the worst record outside the bottom three, and the books disagree about them more than any team: +4,000 at FanDuel, +10,000 at BetMGM. 18. Anaheim Ducks (7-7-1, +8,000) and 19. New York Rangers (8-7-1, +8,750) each move up as 20. San Jose Sharks (7-8-1, +9,500) drift from +6,000 and drop three spots, the biggest fall on the board. 21. Columbus Blue Jackets (6-7-0, +10,000), 22. St. Louis Blues (7-7-1, +10,000) and 23. Pittsburgh Penguins (5-8-2, +10,500), who drifted from +8,500 and fell three, sit together at the +10,000 mark.
24. Nashville Predators (6-4-5, +15,000) shortened from +17,750 and climbed three. 25. New York Islanders (7-5-2, +15,000) hold. 26. Winnipeg Jets (5-8-3, +18,750) drifted from +15,000 and fell two. 27. Seattle Kraken (8-5-1, +20,000) are still the mismatch of the board, with 17 points and the 27th-shortest price. 28. Philadelphia Flyers (4-9-4, +25,000), 29. Detroit Red Wings (7-6-3, +32,500), 30. Calgary Flames (7-8-0, +62,500), 31. Chicago Blackhawks (4-10-1, +62,500) and 32. Vancouver Canucks (3-13-1, +87,500) close the list; Calgary and Chicago share a median price and are split by points.
What moved the NHL odds this week
Not much at the top. The top eight held their order, and every price in that group moved 50 cents or less. The moves came in the middle and bottom: Los Angeles shortened 2,000 cents on a losing record, San Jose and Pittsburgh drifted 2,000 to 3,500 cents and each fell three spots, Nashville shortened and climbed three, and Winnipeg and Philadelphia drifted out. Boston is the team to watch: a division leader at 23 points whose price went the wrong way, from +3,500 to +3,750, while the 9-6-1 Avalanche sit second at +750.
Where the standings and the market disagree most: Boston (first in the Atlantic, 15th on the board), Seattle (17 points, 27th) and Colorado (19 points, second). Those gaps are where a futures bettor starts looking. The full board with Kalshi prices is on our Stanley Cup odds page, and the weekly NFL version is our NFL power rankings for Week 9.
