Prices come from VegasInsider's live NBA title board, read book by book, and were checked against The Odds API's FanDuel, BetMGM and BetRivers feed, which had the same top eight in the same order with the Spurs at +280 to +290 and the Thunder at +400 to +450. Records are through Tuesday night, November 3, from the CBS Sports standings. Our free NBA plays, posted with the line and price, are on the free picks page.
Tier 1: the Spurs and Thunder (1 and 2)
1. San Antonio Spurs (5-2, +285). San Antonio holds the top spot for a second week at +280 to +290 at all four books, 21.8% of the title once the margin is removed. Kalshi's title market has the Spurs at 21%, the same number. 2. Oklahoma City Thunder (5-2, +450). The Thunder drifted another 25 cents, from +425 to +450, and lost for a second time since Jalen Williams and Cason Wallace were hurt on October 25. Caesars is the long book at +475. Oklahoma City hosts Cleveland on Wednesday night as a 3.5-point favorite.
Tier 2: the East contenders and Houston (3 to 8)
3. Philadelphia 76ers (7-1, +825). Philadelphia has the best record in the East and the third-shortest price, with Caesars the short book at +650. 4. New York Knicks (3-4, +1,000). The defending champions are under .500 and still fourth on the board at +900 to +1,000; the books are pricing the roster, not the start. 5. Boston Celtics (5-2, +1,100). Boston is 5-2 and the books disagree more about the Celtics than any contender: +1,000 at bet365 and DraftKings, +1,600 at Caesars.
6. Houston Rockets (7-1, +1,450). Houston matches Philadelphia at 7-1 and shortened 50 cents at the median. 7. Toronto Raptors (4-3, +1,600) hold at +1,600 at three books. 8. Minnesota Timberwolves (5-3, +1,800). Minnesota drifted from +1,750 to +1,800 at the median; Caesars is still the short book at +1,200, 600 cents shorter than anyone else.
Tier 3: playoff teams (9 to 14)
9. Detroit Pistons (6-1, +2,500). Detroit is 6-1 and the price has not moved in two weeks: +2,200 to +2,500 at every book. 10. Los Angeles Lakers (6-2, +2,650) and 11. Denver Nuggets (3-3, +2,650) share a median price, with the Lakers ahead on winning percentage. 12. Cleveland Cavaliers (4-3, +2,900) drifted from +2,800. 13. Portland Trail Blazers (5-1, +4,000) move up one spot after shortening from +4,250, and 14. Indiana Pacers (2-6, +4,000) drop one at the same price with the worst record in the top half of the board.
Tiers 4 and 5: the play-in race and the lottery (15 to 30)
15. Miami Heat (2-5, +5,000), 16. Atlanta Hawks (4-4, +6,000), 17. Golden State Warriors (5-3, +7,500) and 18. Orlando Magic (2-5, +7,750) hold their spots. 19. Charlotte Hornets (3-5, +13,500) and 20. Memphis Grizzlies (6-1, +13,750) are 250 cents apart at the median; Memphis lost for the first time this week and still shortened 5,000 cents, from +18,750 to +13,750, the biggest price move on the board. 21. Dallas Mavericks (4-3, +18,750) shortened from +25,000.
22. Phoenix Suns (1-4, +25,000), 23. Washington Wizards (4-3, +32,500), 24. Utah Jazz (1-6, +45,000) and 25. Chicago Bulls (1-6, +95,000) lead into the five teams every book lists at +100,000: 26. New Orleans Pelicans (3-4), 27. LA Clippers (1-6), 28. Brooklyn Nets (1-6), 29. Milwaukee Bucks (1-6) and 30. Sacramento Kings (1-6). Those five are ordered by winning percentage because the prices are identical, which is why New Orleans moved up two spots and Milwaukee down two without a price change.
Why the market rankings differ from the standings
Eight games in, the gap between record and price is wider than it was a week ago, not narrower. Philadelphia and Houston are 14-2 combined and sit third and sixth; Detroit, Memphis and Portland are 17-3 combined and sit ninth, 20th and 13th; the 3-4 Knicks are still fourth. The books price rosters and health over 82 games, so a 6-1 start moves a long shot like Memphis from +18,750 to +13,750 and no further. The one price that moved on the court rather than the ledger is Oklahoma City, out to +450 with Williams and Wallace hurt. Among the top 12, everything else moved 50 cents or less.
