NBA Power Rankings Week 2 2026-27: Spurs No. 1, Thunder Slip, Grizzlies 5-0

The San Antonio Spurs are No. 1 in our NBA power rankings for Week 2 of the 2026-27 season at a consensus +290 to win the title, as of October 31, 2026, 11:00 AM ET, after the Oklahoma City Thunder lost Jalen Williams to a fractured fibula and dislocated ankle and drifted to +425. The 5-0 Memphis Grizzlies are the week's biggest climber, up five spots to No. 20, yet the books still price them at +18,750, the widest gap between record and odds on the board. The 5-1 Philadelphia 76ers hold third, the 2-4 defending champion New York Knicks are still fourth, and the 4-1 Boston Celtics move up to fifth on a four-game winning streak.

Prices come from VegasInsider's live NBA title board, read book by book, and were checked against SportsbookReview's futures page, which had the same top eight in the same order and prices within 20 cents on each. Records are through Friday night, October 30, from the FOX Sports and CBS Sports standings. The board adds to 119.1% before the margin comes out. Our free NBA plays, posted with the line and price, are on the free picks page.
Tier 1: the Spurs and Thunder (1 and 2)
1. San Antonio Spurs (3-2, +290). San Antonio takes the top spot without doing much: the Spurs are 3-2 and have won three straight, and all four books have them between +280 and +300. They moved up because Oklahoma City moved down.
2. Oklahoma City Thunder (4-1, +425). Jalen Williams fractured his fibula and dislocated his ankle landing on a drive in the fourth quarter of the October 25 win over the Clippers, and Cason Wallace tore his left labrum in the same game; general manager Sam Presti said both need surgery and that timelines come after the operations. The Thunder were +210 at FanDuel on our Week 1 board, and the four-book consensus is now +425, with Caesars the shortest at +390. The record is still 4-1.
Tier 2: the East contenders and Houston (3 to 8)
3. Philadelphia 76ers (5-1, +825). Philadelphia is 5-1 with wins over the Knicks and Cavaliers, and its only loss came on the second night of a back-to-back in Detroit with two starters resting. Caesars is the short book at +700. 4. New York Knicks (2-4, +1,000). The defending champions opened 0-3 for the first time in seven years and are 2-4, yet every book keeps them between +1,000 and +1,100, fourth on the board. 5. Boston Celtics (4-1, +1,100). Boston has won four straight since blowing a 22-point lead in Detroit on opening night; Caesars is the outlier at +1,500.
6. Houston Rockets (5-1, +1,500). Houston climbs two spots at 5-1 after edging San Antonio and winning at Atlanta. 7. Toronto Raptors (3-2, +1,600) never trailed in their first two games and then lost by 23 to Minnesota. 8. Minnesota Timberwolves (4-2, +1,750). Minnesota won its first three games by more than 20 points each, the second team in NBA history to do so, but dropped three spots on price as the books settled between +1,200 at Caesars and +1,800.
Tier 3: playoff teams (9 to 14)
9. Detroit Pistons (5-1, +2,500). Detroit is 5-1 and shot 42% from three in Week 1, third in the league, with Jalen Duren out at least two weeks with a right hamstring strain as of October 26. The market has not followed the record: all four books sit between +2,200 and +2,500. 10. Los Angeles Lakers (4-2, +2,650). Luka Doncic scored 52 points in Utah on October 25, and the Lakers' offense led the league through Week 1 at 125.9 points per 100 possessions.
11. Denver Nuggets (3-2, +2,650) and 12. Cleveland Cavaliers (3-2, +2,800) each move up a spot on price. 13. Indiana Pacers (2-4, +4,000) have lost three straight. 14. Portland Trail Blazers (3-1, +4,250) opened the season with a 21-0 run against Phoenix and own the best record in this tier.
Tiers 4 and 5: the play-in race and the lottery (15 to 30)
15. Miami Heat (2-4, +5,000) fall six spots, the biggest drop on the board, after an 0-3 start that was the franchise's first since 2007-08. 16. Atlanta Hawks (3-3, +5,750) beat Charlotte by 47 in Week 1. 17. Golden State Warriors (3-3, +8,000) started 0-3 for the first time since 2007 and have since won three straight. 18. Orlando Magic (2-3, +8,000) are without Paolo Banchero, listed at four to six weeks with a high ankle sprain by CBS Sports and ESPN on October 24.
19. Charlotte Hornets (3-3, +15,000) move up two. 20. Memphis Grizzlies (5-0, +18,750). The only unbeaten team in the league is priced 20th. Ty Jerome opened with 45 points against Utah, a franchise opening-night record, scored 31 with 14 of 14 free throws in Sacramento, and scored eight of Memphis' points in the final six minutes of a 110-105 win at Utah on October 26. The Grizzlies' bench ranked 29th through Week 1, part of why the books hold the price between +15,000 and +25,000. 21. Dallas Mavericks (4-2, +25,000) have won three straight and are the other record the market ignores.
22. Phoenix Suns (1-3, +25,000), 23. Washington Wizards (3-3, +32,500), 24. Utah Jazz (1-4, +40,000) and 25. Chicago Bulls (1-5, +95,000), who have lost four straight, lead into the five teams every book lists at +100,000: 26. LA Clippers (1-4), 27. New Orleans Pelicans (1-4), 28. Milwaukee Bucks (1-4), 29. Brooklyn Nets (0-5) and 30. Sacramento Kings (0-5). Those five are ordered by winning percentage because the prices are identical.
Why the market rankings differ from the standings
Six games is still a small sample, and the books price rosters over 82 games, not starts. That is why the 2-4 Knicks sit fourth and the 5-0 Grizzlies sit 20th: Memphis shortened from +25,000 to +18,750 at the median this week, a real move, but the gap to the teams above them is still enormous. Detroit at 5-1 and Dallas at 4-2 are the other records the board discounts.
The one move driven by the court rather than the ledger is Oklahoma City. The Thunder went from co-favorite to a clear second after the Williams and Wallace injuries, and San Antonio became the favorite by standing still. Houston's climb and Miami's drop are the other changes that match what happened in the games.
