NFL Survivor Picks Week 8 2026: Bengals Lead, Lions and Seahawks Are the Week 9 Saves

The Cincinnati Bengals are the safest NFL survivor pick of Week 8 by the betting market: -625 to -700 at home against the 1-6 Tennessee Titans, an 84.0% chance to win once the bookmaker margin is removed, as of Thursday night, October 29, 2026, 9:45 PM ET. The Jacksonville Jaguars (80.4% at home against the 2-5 Colts) and the New England Patriots (72.6% at the 1-5 Dolphins) are the next two clean options. Two favorites carry a quarterback flag: the Cowboys, because Arizona's Carson Beck was limited Thursday, and the Bills, because Lamar Jackson is questionable. Four teams are on bye (Houston, New Orleans, the Giants and San Francisco) and the Thursday game has been played.

Win probability is the favorite's FanDuel moneyline on SportsbookReview's board with the margin removed (favorite price divided by the sum of both sides). We cross-checked every favorite against VegasInsider's Week 8 odds page (updated October 28, 11:06 PM) and SI's opening-odds roundup, and all three agree on every favorite. DraftKings matched the other books this week, so no column was dropped. Carolina at Green Bay kicked off Thursday night and is off the board. Our free plays for the week are on the free picks page.
Why the Bengals are the Week 8 survivor pick
Cincinnati is 4-2 and just beat Baltimore 35-13; it has scored 163 points, third-most in the AFC, and hosts a Tennessee team that is 1-6 with 108 points scored and 156 allowed. At -625 to -700 the Bengals are the only Week 8 favorite above 80% without a quarterback question on either side, and no Bengals quarterback appears on Thursday's report. Ja'Marr Chase did not practice Thursday, which is the one thing to check on Friday's report. Cincinnati's Week 9 game is in Madrid against Atlanta, a neutral site with travel, so there is little future value lost by using the Bengals now.
The Jaguars: the backup at 80.4%
Jacksonville is 4-2 with the best scoring margin of the Week 8 favorites (154 for, 104 against) and hosts a 2-5 Colts team that has lost three straight and scored 10 at Minnesota last week. The Jaguars opened at -375 and are -481 to -510 now, so the market has moved toward them all week. The catch is Week 9: Jacksonville plays Thursday night at Baltimore, so a Jaguars pick this week costs you nothing next week. No quarterback is on either team's Thursday report. Our full breakdown of the Colts game is in the Week 8 preview.
Save them for Week 9: the Lions and the Seahawks
Detroit is only 60.7% this week against the unbeaten Vikings, but in Week 9 the Lions visit the 1-5 Dolphins, which should price in the mid 70s or better. Seattle is 60.3% against the 5-2 Bears on Monday night and then hosts the 2-5 Cardinals in Week 9. Both teams are worth more next week than this week. Kansas City is a 52% coin flip at Denver and then hosts the 2-5 Jets in Week 9, so the Chiefs are the third team to hold back.
For the games behind those numbers, see our Vikings vs Lions, Bears vs Seahawks and Chiefs vs Broncos pages.
Other Week 8 survivor options and their risks
Cowboys (74.7%). Dallas hosts the 2-5 Cardinals and comes off a 38-21 win at Philadelphia, but Arizona quarterback Carson Beck was limited in Thursday's practice. A questionable quarterback on either side takes a game off our list, because the price will swing on Friday's designation. If Beck is cleared Friday, the Cowboys become the third-safest team on the board.
Patriots (72.6%) and Rams (72.1%). Both are clean. New England is 4-3 and visits a 1-5 Miami team starting Malik Willis; the Rams are 3-4 at home against the winless Chargers. Either is a fair pick if the Bengals and Jaguars are gone, and neither has much Week 9 value (Patriots host Green Bay, Rams visit Washington).
Commanders (70.0%). Washington is 1-4-1 and favored only because Philadelphia starts Tanner McKee for Jalen Hurts. A 1-4-1 team at 70% is a price built on the other team's quarterback, and our Eagles vs Commanders page has the full read. We would not use a survivor pick on it.
Bills (60.3%). Buffalo is off the list this week because Lamar Jackson is questionable for Baltimore. Jackson practiced in full Thursday; if he is ruled out Friday, the Bills' price will jump, but 60% against a Ravens team with its starter is not a survivor number. The Ravens vs Bills page tracks his status.
Steelers (62.7%), Buccaneers (54.3%), Jets (53.7%), Chiefs (52.0%). All below the line we use for a survivor pick. Pittsburgh hosts a 5-2 Browns team in a division game, and the other three are near coin flips.
