The Indiana number moved around: Covers had the Hoosiers -7.5 on Saturday morning and FOX Sports and ScoresAndOdds closed them at -8.5 and -9.5. It did not matter, because Nebraska lost by 3 and covered every version. Shopping a line only pays when the margin lands near it, which is why our guide to reading betting odds and sportsbook comparison matter on close numbers.
The college football Week 6 upsets
What college football Week 6 meant for bettors
Road and neutral-site underdogs were the story. UCLA (+10) and South Carolina (+10.5) won outright as double-digit underdogs, Oklahoma won as a 7.5-point underdog in Dallas, and Nebraska and Arkansas covered as home underdogs. Big favorites still had their moments: Ole Miss won by 35 at Vanderbilt and Louisville beat Florida State by 24 on Friday night. Unders had a slight edge, and two of the biggest came in the upsets: UCLA and Oregon combined for 32 against 57.5, and Georgia-Alabama stayed at 37 against 51.5 to 52.5.
The results reshaped the board for Week 7. Alabama moved from 4.5 to 8.5 or 9.5 at Tennessee, and the title and playoff markets moved with them. See our college football Week 7 preview and CFP predictions.

An honest lesson from Week 6
Alabama at home against Georgia closed as a 2.5-point favorite, close to a coin flip, and the game was decided by a field goal. Taking the moneyline rather than the spread in a game like that adds little risk, and the outcome turned on a few plays either way. The bigger lesson from the week is how often the market's double-digit favorites were tested: Oregon, Florida and LSU all lost outright, and Indiana and Tennessee won but did not cover.
