NFL Survivor Picks Week 7 2026: Texans Lead, Rams Are the Week 8 Save

The Houston Texans are the safest NFL survivor pick of Week 7 by the betting market: -481 to -550 at home against the New York Giants, an 81.2% chance to win once the bookmaker margin is removed, as of Friday night, October 23, 2026, 8:00 PM ET. The Minnesota Vikings (71.7% against the 2-4 Colts) and New York Jets (68.5% against the winless Dolphins) are next. Four of the 13 favorites have a questionable quarterback on one side of the game, so they are flagged below and left off our list.

Moneylines are FanDuel's on SportsbookReview's board, and the win percentage is FanDuel's price with the margin removed. We cross-checked every number against VegasInsider's Week 7 odds page (updated October 23 at 3:53 PM) and FOX Sports' bet365 lines, and all three agree on every favorite. SportsbookReview's DraftKings column was off on two games (Bengals-Ravens and Buccaneers-Panthers), so we left it out. Thursday night is gone: the Bears beat the Patriots, so neither is available. Our Week 7 preview has the spreads and totals for every game.
Why the Texans are the Week 7 survivor pick
Houston is -481 at Caesars and -550 at FanDuel, the only team on the board above 80%. The spread is 10 to 10.5 at every book. The Giants are missing linebacker Tremaine Edmunds (out for the season with a torn chest muscle, per ESPN) and cornerback Greg Newsome II (concussion), with tight end Theo Johnson doubtful and four more defensive backs questionable, per the Giants' Friday report. Houston is without running back David Montgomery, tackle Blake Fisher and safeties Reed Blankenship and Jalen Pitre, but no Texans quarterback appears on the injury report.
Two things make this the right week for Houston. The Texans are 2-4, so fewer pool entries have burned them already, and they sit on a bye in Week 8, which means saving them buys nothing. The price says the market does not care about the records here; a -550 favorite loses about one time in five, and that is the lowest risk on this slate.
The Vikings: the backup plan at 71.7%
Minnesota is 5-0 and hosts the 2-4 Colts as a 6.5-point favorite, -280 to -295. Indianapolis ruled out cornerback Sauce Gardner, tight end Tyler Warren and receiver Anthony Gould on Friday, with punter Rigoberto Sanchez and three defenders questionable. The Vikings' only designation is running back Jordan Mason, questionable with a thumb, and coach Kevin O'Connell called his status "looking positive." Justin Jefferson, Jordan Addison and T.J. Hockenson all practiced in full. Quarterback Kyler Murray is not on the report.
The catch is Week 8: Minnesota plays at Detroit, so the Vikings are not a team you will want next week anyway. Using them now costs little.
The Rams: save them for Week 8
Los Angeles is -210 to -230 at Las Vegas this week, a 65.6% chance, with Puka Nacua questionable (calf, did not practice Friday) and Davante Adams out with a hamstring injury. That is a usable number, but next week the Rams host the 0-6 Chargers. A home game against a winless team is usually the biggest favorite on any slate, and the Rams are the one team here whose Week 8 spot is clearly better than their Week 7 spot. Hold them.
Other Week 7 survivor options and their risks
The Jets at 68.5% host the 0-5 Dolphins, but Breece Hall is questionable and the Jets are 2-4 themselves; a -250 price on a two-win team is the market telling you Miami is that bad, not that New York is good. The Cowboys at 65.6% play Monday night in Philadelphia, which leaves no fallback if something changes before kickoff; the Eagles listed DeVonta Smith, Dallas Goedert and Jonathan Greenard as non-participants Friday, with Saquon Barkley limited. The Steelers in Paris at 60.7% carry a 9:30 AM kickoff and a trip across the Atlantic. The 49ers at 60.3% are without Nick Bosa and Deebo Samuel on the road.
Four favorites are off our list because a quarterback is questionable and the game turns on whether he plays. Arizona's Carson Beck (back) is questionable against Denver. Tampa Bay's Baker Mayfield (right thumb) is officially questionable against Carolina, though Todd Bowles said he will start. Seattle's Drew Lock (right elbow) is questionable against Kansas City. Baltimore's Lamar Jackson (ankle) is questionable against Cincinnati and said he is "heading in the right direction." Cleveland's Dillon Gabriel is out, which takes the Browns off the board too. Statuses are from Friday's official reports as relayed by NFL.com, CBS Sports and the team sites; inactives come out 90 minutes before each kickoff and are the final word.
